US Economic Data Release Schedule Update: Non-Farm Payrolls and CPI Postponed
Attention all investors and analysts! It's time to update your economic calendars. The US government shutdown has caused a delay in the release of crucial economic data, affecting the non-farm payrolls and CPI reports.
The non-farm payrolls, which were originally scheduled for release on Friday, November 10, have been postponed to Wednesday, November 11. The CPI report, due on the same day, has also been rescheduled for Friday, November 13. Additionally, the JOLTS report, which was set to be released on February 5, remains on track.
The delay comes after a challenging week for the US economy. The ADP employment report, released today, revealed a disappointing 22,000 jobs created, falling short of the expected 48,000. The employment component of the ISM services report also missed expectations, coming in at 50.3, compared to the anticipated 52.3.
Furthermore, economists are anticipating a significant downward revision to employment figures for 2025, which could have a substantial impact on the overall economic outlook.
